Shameer Ahmed

Dr Shameer Ahmed is a Cardiologist Electrophysiologist located in Toowoomba, Queensland in private practice at St Andrew’s Hospital and Care Cardiology. He is also a Staff Specialist at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in Brisbane.

He has particular expertise in diagnostic cardiology and electrophysiology techniques such as diagnostic coronary angiograms, non-invasive tests such as echocardiography, Holter test and stress tests, as well as, cardiac implantable devices, electrophysiology studies, and the treatment of syncope, palpitations, and SVT.

Dr Ahmed worked around the globe including in the United Kingdom, United States of America, India and Australia. It was during his time in the USA that he trained in Electrophysiology at the Penn State Hospital before moving back to Australia and furthering his training in Brisbane at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
