Dr Nikhil Sapre

Dr Nikhil Sapre is a Urological Surgeon and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS Urol). After finishing medical school in New Zealand, he completed his urological training in Queensland and Victoria. During his training, he also completed a PhD in developing better molecular diagnostic strategies for bladder and prostate cancers from the University of Melbourne.
He undertook advanced laparoscopic and open surgery training in New South Wales and completed a high-volume fellowship in uro-oncology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, specialising in robotic surgery and LASER prostate surgery. Dr Sapre brings these advanced skills to support patients in regional Queensland.
His clinical expertise includes:
– Diagnosis and management of urological cancers
– Robotic surgery for prostate and kidney conditions including robotic prostatectomy, partial nephrectomy and pyeloplasty
– Minimally invasive LASER treatments for benign prostate enlargement (BPH)
– Management of kidney and ureteric stones
Dr Sapre was the first urology trainee in Toowoomba in 2014 and chose to return to live and work in the community. He lives in Toowoomba with his wife, a local GP, and their two children.
