Natacha Sorour
Medical Oncologist
Dr Natacha Sorour is a medical oncologist dedicated to delivering high-quality, up-to-date cancer care for rural and regional patients in Toowoomba. She works with a large multidisciplinary team that includes Surgeons, Radiation Oncologists, Pathologists, Radiologists, Nursing, and Allied Health professionals.
Dr Sorour completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. She specialised in Internal Medicine, achieving Fellowship of the College of Medicine of South Africa in 1996. After emigrating to Australia, she obtained Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1998.
She developed a strong interest in oncology during her tenure as Consultant Physician at Toowoomba Hospital, leading her to further training in Medical Oncology under the RACP, achieving her Fellowship in 2009. From 2010 to 2015, she served as Director of Medical Oncology at Toowoomba Hospital, leading the development of the Toowoomba Regional Cancer Centre. Dr Sorour commenced private practice in 2013 and currently consults full time at Toowoomba Oncology, St Andrew’s Hospital, and also visits St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba.
She is also a Senior Lecturer with the University of Queensland Rural Medical School and is committed to teaching and mentoring medical students and healthcare professionals.
