Lekshmi Nair

Dr Lekshmi Nair is an experienced Radiation Oncologist currently consulting and treating at Icon Toowoomba. She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at Government Medical College, Trivandrum under the University of Kerala. Dr Nair is experienced in various new radiation therapy technologies including VMAT, IGRT and Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH), and has played an instrumental role in establishing radiation oncology in regional areas. She helped bring about a radiation oncology service in Rockhampton and led a busy department benefitting the local community.

Having spent time in both regional and tertiary centres within Queensland, Dr Nair understands the needs of her patients and has a wealth of experience managing complex oncology cases. She regularly attends multidisciplinary team meetings to optimise patient outcomes.

She treats all malignancies and has special interests in breast cancer, colorectal cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, genitourinary cancer, lung cancer, and skin cancer.
