Khageshwor Pokharel
Oncologist
Dr Khageshwor Pokharel is a Medical Oncologist who completed his training through the Queensland Medical Oncology Training Program, with clinical placements at various tertiary hospitals in Brisbane. He holds a Fellowship in Medical Oncology from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
Dr Pokharel is an independent specialist who works as a senior staff member at the Cancer Care Centre at the Toowoomba Base Hospital. He also consults at St Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital and St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba. He is actively involved in several ongoing medical oncology clinical trials.
A dedicated educator, he is a senior lecturer with the University of Queensland’s School of Medicine and also participates in the training of junior doctors and advanced oncology trainees.
Dr Pokharel treats all solid organ malignancies, with a particular interest in cancers of the head and neck, lung, colorectal, prostate, and breast.
