Dr Jacob Gleeson

Dr Jacob Gleeson is a Toowoomba-based urologist who is passionate about delivering metropolitan-level care to rural communities. He has particular expertise in managing prostate, bladder, and kidney malignancies, as well as complex conditions such as urolithiasis and bladder outlet obstruction.

He graduated from the University of Queensland with an MBBS in 2001 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2012. He subsequently completed a urology fellowship at Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne.

Since establishing his practice in Toowoomba in 2013, Dr Gleeson has been instrumental in restoring local public urology services. He performed the first robotic surgical operation in Toowoomba and remains one of only three urologists in the region trained in robotic-assisted surgery.

Dr Gleeson is committed to improving urological care in regional Queensland and consults from his rooms at 22 Herries Street.
