Harish Aikot

Dr Harish Aikot is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist located in Toowoomba, Queensland.

He has a special interest in diagnostic cardiology such as coronary angiograms, coronary angioplasty, and non-invasive tests including echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter tests and transesophageal echocardiograms. He is also experienced in pacemaker and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) implantations, and device closures for adult congenital heart disease.

Dr Aikot completed his medical studies and advanced cardiology training at the University of Mumbai and Grant Medical College and JJ Hospital in Mumbai, before moving to Australia to complete a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne.

Following this, he began consulting as a Cardiologist at the St John of God Hospital (Bendigo) and St Vincent’s and Mercy Private Hospitals (Melbourne).

Additionally, he spent some time working in India as an Interventional Cardiologist at Sahakaraana Hrudayalaya Pariyaram and Metro International Cardiac Centre, Calicut. He relocated back to Australia and has been consulting at the St Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital for over 6 years.
