Dr Xavier Moar

Dr Xavier Moar is an Australian-trained General Surgeon specialising in bariatric, upper gastrointestinal and endocrine surgery. He is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, supporting individuals through every stage of their surgical journey—from initial consultation to recovery and long-term follow-up. Dr Moar completed a Bachelor of Medical Science, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from The University of Sydney in 2009. He began his medical career on the Gold Coast and later undertook specialist training in General Surgery with Eastern Health in Melbourne. He further advanced his expertise through fellowship training in upper gastrointestinal and endocrine surgery at The Northern Hospital. In 2020, Dr Moar relocated to Toowoomba, where he established his private practice and continues to support regional healthcare. He consults and operates at various hospitals while also maintaining public appointments with Queensland Health. Known for his holistic approach, Dr Moar provides evidence-based weight loss solutions and a broad range of general surgical procedures including endoscopy, gallbladder and hernia surgery, thyroid operations, bowel procedures and skin cancer removal.
