Dr Tim Ball

Dr Tim Ball is a Geriatrician and General Medicine Physician who is currently accredited at St Andrews Toowoomba Hospital. Hailing from Toowoomba, Dr Ball’s journey to medical excellence began after his service in the military. He earned a Bachelor of Human Biology in Perth, Western Australia, where he was recognised as the DUX and University Dean Medal Recipient. His academic prowess continued with the successful completion of a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) in 2016 from the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle, where he was honored with the Palliative Care award for his cohort. Dr Ball’s professional growth continued with his internship at Royal Perth Hospital and Midland Hospital and his residency at Saint John of God Subiaco Hospital, where he was awarded the Hospital Junior Doctor of the Year. He undertook his specialist training at various tertiary hospitals in Western Australia, including Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Joondalup Health Campus, and Albany Regional Health Campus. Dr Ball is currently a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP), dual-trained in General Medicine and Gerontology. He has a wide range of interests within inpatient and outpatient care, including diagnostic dilemmas as well as the investigation and management of acute conditions, Geriatric comprehensive assessment, memory/dementia assessments, Parkinson assessment and management, perioperative assessment and management, chronic disease management including hypertension, diabetes, heart failure, renal medicine, complex medication reviews as well as falls prevention and osteoporosis management.
