Dr Dr Nikhil Sapre

Dr Nikhil Sapre is an experienced Urological Surgeon practising in Toowoomba and the Darling Downs region. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) with specialist expertise in the surgical management of both benign and malignant urological conditions. After completing his medical degree in New Zealand, Dr Sapre went on to undertake specialist urological training in Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales before being admitted as a Fellow in 2020. His extensive clinical expertise was further enhanced by advanced fellowship training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, where he gained high-volume experience in urological cancers, robotic surgery for prostate and kidney conditions, and LASER surgery for benign prostate enlargement. In addition to his specialist surgical training, Dr Sapre holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne, focusing on molecular diagnostic strategies aimed at improving the accuracy of prostate and bladder cancer diagnosis. He has received numerous awards and scholarships for his research, presented at national and international conferences, and contributed to scientific publications and book chapters in the fields of urological cancer and robotic surgery. He is also heavily involved in education of urology trainees through the college. Dr Sapre is passionate about offering the same quality of care as metropolitan centres to regional patients.
