Dr Marcus Dickey
Clinical Haematologist
Dr Marcus Dickey is a specialist Clinical Haematologist consulting in Toowoomba and providing expert care for a wide range of blood and bone marrow disorders. He trained in Queensland, completing his medical degree at Griffith University in 2012 and commencing his early medical career in Toowoomba before undertaking specialist haematology training at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and with additional time at Toowoomba Base Hospital. Having completed much of his training locally, he has a strong understanding of the unique needs of regional patients. Dr Dickey is experienced in managing both malignant and non-malignant haematological conditions including leukaemias, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes, cytopenias (low blood counts), thrombosis and haemostasis disorders. He maintains a strong interest in applying up-to-date clinical research and clinical trials to patient care, and he has published research articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented at local haematology conferences. Dr Dickey consults and provides haematology care at Toowoomba Haematology & Oncology Clinic, St Andrew’s Hospital. He also admits patients to St Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital and is involved in coordinated cancer and blood disorder services across the region.
