Dr Lemya Abdalla

Dr Lemya Abdalla is a Consultant Geriatrician specialising in acute and sub-acute Geriatrics, she provides expert assessment and management of complex age-related medical conditions, with a focus on improving function, independence, and quality of life. Dr Abdalla completed her medical degree at the University of Gezira and later achieved Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2017. She brings extensive clinical experience, having worked in internal medicine roles across the Middle East for more than a decade before relocating to Australia. Following her move, Dr Abdalla undertook physician training in Toowoomba and went on to undertake advanced specialist training in Geriatric Medicine across several major Queensland hospitals, before becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). Dr Abdalla is committed to delivering patient-centred care, supporting older people and their families through complex health decisions and transitions in care. Dr Abdalla holds a permanent public hospital appointment as a Geriatrician within the Rehabilitation Unit at Toowoomba Hospital, whilst also providing private consulting sessions at Infinity Specialists and a Bulk-billed service to various nursing homes within the Toowoomba and Surrounding region. Alongside these commitments, Dr Abdalla also admits and treats patients at St Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital.
