Dr Khageshwor Pokharel
Medical Oncologist
Dr Khageshwor Pokharel completed his Medical Oncology training from Queensland Medical Oncology Training Program. He did his clinical placements at various tertiary public hospitals in Brisbane and obtained his Fellowship in Medical Oncology from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). He is an independent Medical Oncologist who is a senior staff specialist at the cancer care centre at the Toowoomba Base Hospital and is involved in various medical oncology clinical trials running at the hospital. He also consults at St Andrews Hospital Toowoomba and St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba. He is actively involved in teaching medical students and is a senior lecturer with the University of Queensland’s School of Medicine. He is also involved in teaching and training of junior doctors and advanced trainees in medical oncology. Dr Pokharel has special interests in colorectal, genitourinary (prostate, bladder and kidney), skin including melanoma and head and neck cancers.
