Dr Juan Rois Gnecco
Physician (Rehabilitation)
Dr Juan Rois Gnecco is a Rehabilitation Medicine Physician and Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM), committed to supporting people in regaining independence, mobility, and quality of life following illness, injury, or major health events. He has broad clinical and research interests spanning stroke and neurological rehabilitation, spasticity management, orthopaedic rehabilitation, cardiac and cancer rehabilitation, as well as post-acute functional reconditioning after complex medical and surgical illness. Trained in Australia and admitted as a Fellow of the AFRM, Dr Rois Gnecco provides comprehensive rehabilitation care across inpatient and outpatient settings. He also offers ultrasound-guided Botulinum toxin injections for the management of spasticity and movement disorders. Dr Rois Gnecco has played a pivotal role in advancing rehabilitation services in regional Queensland. He was instrumental in the inception and development of private rehabilitation services at St Andrew’s Hospitals in Ipswich and Toowoomba, improving access to multidisciplinary rehabilitation for local and regional communities. He is actively involved in the academic and professional development of Rehabilitation Medicine. He serves as an Examiner for the AFRM, is a member of the Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand (RMSANZ), and contributes to the Stroke Foundation’s Clinical Guidelines for Stroke Management through the Rehabilitation Working Party. His work supports evidence-based practice and national standards of care in stroke rehabilitation.
