Dr Grant Menegon

Dr Grant Menegon is a Queensland trained Orthopaedic Surgeon consulting at St Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital and Toowoomba Hospital. He has a special interest in surgery of the hip and knee. He also has subspecialist fellowship training in complex orthopaedic trauma and limb reconstruction surgery. Born and raised in Townsville, Dr Menegon completed his schooling at Ignatius Park College before obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from James Cook University in 2010. He also holds a postgraduate qualification in Clinical Epidemiology from The University of Newcastle. Dr Menegon commenced his medical career as an intern and junior doctor at Cairns Hospital before relocating to South-East Queensland to pursue orthopaedic surgical training. During this time, he worked across major hospitals including The Prince Charles Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital and the Mater Public Hospital. He also spent a year training at Toowoomba Hospital, where he and his family developed a strong connection to the Darling Downs. He completed orthopaedic training through the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) in 2024, under the governance of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He then undertook advanced fellowship training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital under Dr Kevin Tetsworth and Dr Jerry Van Der Pol, focusing on pelvis and acetabular fracture surgery, limb reconstruction, revision joint replacement, bone defect management and complex deformity correction. Dr Menegon is committed to helping patients restore mobility, reduce pain and improve quality of life, and warmly welcomes all patients to his practice.
