Dr David Morrissey

Dr David Morrissey is an Australian-trained Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and Head & Neck surgeon with extensive clinical and academic experience in the management of nasal, sinus, and paediatric ENT conditions. He is recognised for his evidence-based approach and commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Dr Morrissey completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with honours at the University of Queensland in 2005 before undertaking advanced fellowship training in rhinology and skull base surgery in Adelaide. His subspecialty expertise as a fellowship-trained rhinologist includes the diagnosis and surgical management of complex nose and sinus disorders. He has presented at national and international conferences, authored peer-reviewed journal articles, and contributed to ENT textbooks. Dr Morrissey is actively involved in medical education as a faculty member at the University of Queensland Medical School, supporting the development of medical students, junior doctors, and surgical trainees. In addition to private practice, he serves as Director of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery for the Darling Downs Health Service, demonstrating a strong commitment to advancing regional ENT care. Dr Morrissey operates at St Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital and consults privately from Morrissey ENT in East Toowoomba. He collaborates closely with patients and referring clinicians to achieve optimal outcomes.
