Dr Binita Shrestha

Dr Binita Shrestha is a specialist Rehabilitation Physician with expertise in adult rehabilitation and spasticity management. Originally from Kathmandu, Nepal, Dr Shrestha relocated to Australia in 2008. She completed her specialist training in Rehabilitation Medicine across Queensland and has worked in a range of major public and private hospitals, including John Flynn Hospital, The Prince Charles Hospital, Mater Private Hospital, Ipswich Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and Townsville Hospital. She has since settled in Toowoomba with her young family. Dr Shrestha is dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation care for patients experiencing illness, injury, or long-term health conditions. Her focus is on improving function, supporting recovery, and helping individuals maintain independence and quality of life. She takes a holistic and collaborative approach to patient care, considering not only physical health but also emotional wellbeing, lifestyle, and social supports. Dr Shrestha works closely with patients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop tailored treatment plans and provide ongoing guidance and support throughout the rehabilitation journey. Dr Shrestha also provides clinical leadership and coordination of a multidisciplinary inpatient rehabilitation service in Toowoomba.
