Dr Bhaskar Karki

Dr Bhaskar Karki is a consultant Medical Oncologist specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of solid organ cancers. He provides comprehensive cancer care that is evidence-based, holistic and personalised, with particular clinical interest in gynaecological malignancies and neuroendocrine tumours. Dr Karki is recognised for his compassionate approach and dedication to supporting patients and their families throughout the cancer journey. Dr Karki completed his medical training and specialist oncology training in Brisbane and the Gold Coast before relocating to Toowoomba. Following attainment of his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, he joined the oncology service at Toowoomba Base Hospital and also consults privately. He is actively involved in cancer clinical trials and leads the clinical trial unit at the local cancer care centre, contributing to improved access to innovative therapies for regional patients. Dr Karki also participates in teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and oncology trainees. Dr Karki’s practice combines specialist expertise with a focus on patient wellbeing, clinical trials and multidisciplinary care to support optimal outcomes for people living with cancer in the Darling Downs region. Dr Karki consults and treats patients at St Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital.
