Dr Armi Salonga
Physician (General)
Dr Armi Salonga is a highly experienced Rheumatologist and General Medicine physician providing expert care for patients with rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions. She leads the Rheumatology Specialist Centre in Toowoomba, offering specialist assessment and management of inflammatory and degenerative joint diseases, connective tissue disorders and related systemic conditions. Dr Salonga’s medical training spans both the USA and Australia. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with honours at the University of Santo Tomas and earned her medical degree from St. Luke’s College of Medicine in the Philippines. She then undertook residency training in adult medicine at St. Vincent’s Medical Centre in Connecticut, USA, before relocating to Australia for further specialist training and clinical practice in Queensland hospitals including Gold Coast University Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital. She has also worked as a specialist General Medicine physician at Ipswich Hospital and as a Visiting Medical Officer in Rheumatology at Princess Alexandra Hospital. Dr Salonga is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and actively participates in professional groups such as Women in Rheumatology Australia and the International Association of Women in Rheumatology. Her clinical practice blends rigorous medical expertise with a humanistic, holistic approach to patient care.
