Dr Andrew Lewandowski

Dr Andrew Lewandowski is a Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a clinical interest in skin cancer surgery. His extensive training in microsurgery enables him to perform complex free tissue transfers and super-microsurgical procedures, often involving intricate, highly specialised operations. His MPhil research focused on the inflammatory and immune profiles of skin cancers, conducted at the UQ Translational Research Institute under the supervision of Professor H. Peter Soyer, a renowned expert in dermatological research. His work has been presented at national and international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. In addition to his clinical work, Dr Lewandowski holds educational roles, including Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, where he teaches medical students, and he regularly conducts educational seminars for General Practitioners and Plastic Surgery trainees.
